So the new year is here and i have already completed 4 scarves. not a bad start. I plan to blog mostly on Sundays when each new scarf should be completed (hopefully!!).
Scarves produced so far are a blue one in honeycomb stitch from One skein wonders. it is in naturally haven NZ merino bought in Dunedin when karen and I were there for Kez's graduation. I was very restrained whilst there and only bought 2 balls of wool both for the scarf project. This scarf took me 1 day to complete. like I said a very easy pattern!
Scarf 2 is Larch scarflette a ravelry download pattern. i also did this one for Liz for Xmas. easy to knit and looks great although it needs fairly vigorous blocking to be a decent size. it is knitted in dark green Misti alpaca sock wool. looks great and am tempted to keep it. knitted in 3 days over Christmas.
Scarf 3 is Bow scarf from ravelry. this one is knitted in Louisa harding Alpaca, wool and silk. lovely and soft in a very pale green. The wool was bought in Bellingen. Knitted in 1 day again.
Scarf 4 is Vine lace scarf again fro One Skein wonders. a simple lace pattern but a pig of a thing to knit as it was really hard to visualise where the pattern went next and it involved lots of undoing. pale pink Debbie Bliss andes in alpaca and silk. Very very soft. probably destined for Maz who is a very pink girl and I am sure will really like it especially as she often wears scarves at work. I still have to sort out photos of these items. I need a good spot to take the photos so they look good.
